We’ll guide you through the steps needed to get your license. Taught by an instructor who is also a full-time agent, we offer special classes for new licensees that meet weekly at offices throughout the region.

Once you’re up and running, each office has a mentor assigned to help new agents learn the ropes. You’ll learn the basics of building a business, working with buyers and sellers, writing contracts and other fundamentals of real-world real estate. You’ll spend time together training in the field and meet at least weekly to review clients and strategies.

Getting A Pennsylvania Real Estate License

Real Estate is administered and regulated by the Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission.

Licensing Requirements:

  • Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
  • Must complete 4 credits or sixty  hours of real estate instruction in Real Estate Fundamentals (30 hours) and Real Estate Practice (30 hours)
  • Pass a 3-hour licensing exam from an approved exam provider
  • Submit a A Salesperson Initial License Application to the Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission. (Your application must be submitted through a sponsoring broker such as Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach.)
  • Submit a Criminal Background Check

In some cases the Real Estate Commission may accept  the following in lieu of the education requirement above: a bachelor’s degree with a major in real estate or its equivalent from an accredited college, university or institute of higher learning,  completion of  4 credits or sixty hours of acceptable basic real estate courses at an accredited college, university or institute of higher learning located outside of Pennsylvania (or a real estate school outside of Pennsylvania that has been approved by the real estate licensing authority of the jurisdiction where the school is located, or  a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

Getting A New Jersey Real Estate License

Real Estate is administered and regulated by the State of New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance.

Licensing Requirements:

  • Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
  • Have a high school diploma or the equivalent
  • Pass a 75-hour prelicensure course at an approved school of real estate
  • Pass a license examination
  • Submit a license application through a sponsoring broker such as Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach.
  • In addition the Commission must be satisfied as to the applicant’s honesty, trustworthiness, character and integrity.

Getting A Delaware Real Estate License

Real Estate is administered and regulated by the Real Estate Commission of the Delaware Department of State.

Licensing Requirements:

  • Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
  • Complete a 99-hour prelicensure course at an approved school of real estate
  • Pass the Delaware State and National license examination
  • Submit the required license application
